I am starting late, and possibly bending the rules.
My weeks are going to start on Fridays (since the first book I bought, and started reading was on Friday 15th January 2010).
This challenge is important to me. In attempt to save the limited number of brain cells I have left, the majority have been destroyed with overdose of train wreck television (too much MTV), this binge has lasted twenty-one years, but mostly from the ages of 16 to present (twenty-one).
This challenge also has a jealously tone, my brother has always been what I'd call a "reader", his room is filled with classics. I'd say he has over 300. Thus, I want to read some classics or modern classics, I may be wrong or misguided, but the books I believe, I "should" have read. The majority will be on recommendations.
So, on that note, I'm reading Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion.
Hi Elleabell,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the 52 books challenge. I'm sure besides your brother's classics, we'll be able to provide some recommendations. You've chosen quite a book to begin the challenge with. Turning off the tv and reading is always a good choice. Look forward to seeing what you read this year.
